Launchx Labs Founders

Vineet Dwivedi, the CEO of Launchx Labs, brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked in multiple startups across various domains. But it was his collaboration with Anuraag Dubey, the COO, that lit the spark for Launchx Labs. They saw a pattern: startups, while brimming with potential, often faltered at the same hurdles. They thought, why not guide them through it, faster and smarter?

Launchx Labs Team

The early days of Launchx Labs weren’t spent twiddling thumbs. Vineet and Anuraag capitalised on their extensive networks, quickly assembling a team of developers, managers, and designers. Relationships built over time in their respective startups paid off. They didn’t start from scratch; they started from connections.

Working with startups initially, they saw that their AI and GenAI developments could be game-changers not only for startups but large enterprises too. Security became a critical concern, especially with proprietary information tangled in vectors. That’s when they envisioned VectorX, a technology that encrypts vectors and allows lightning-fast searches within those encrypted realms.

The founding team wasn’t just Vineet and Anuraag. Gaurav Nigam, the CBO, and Hemant Sharma, the Lead ML Engineer, played vital roles too. It’s a team driven by a shared vision, where each member brings a unique slice of expertise to the table. And not just to compete, but to redefine how AI data is protected and processed.

Interview with Alisha Thomas, Marketing and Sales Head of Launchx Labs

We had the chance to sit down with Alisha Thomas, the Marketing and Sales Head at Launchx Labs, to discuss VectorX and the company’s vision. Alisha provided some interesting insights into their journey and the tech they are building. Here’s how our conversation went:

Q: Alisha, could you tell us a bit about Launchx Labs? What exactly does the startup do?
A:
Launchx Labs works with AI startups and other businesses to help them turn their ideas into real digital products. We partner with them in their journey.

Q: Who is your ideal customer? Who are you trying to help most with VectorX?
A:
Our main focus is on AI startups, but we also work with established tech companies, data science teams, and cloud service providers. Essentially, anyone who needs to use AI and cares about data security and smooth integration. These are businesses that want to use AI to transform what they do, and they need to do it securely and efficiently. We are looking at founders, CTOs, product managers, and tech leads in these organisations. They are usually looking for innovative, scalable, and secure AI products. VectorX is really for those who want top-notch data safety without slowing things down.

Q: What problem is Launchx Labs trying to solve? What’s the big challenge you are tackling?
A:
The main problem we’re solving is the lack of good options for secure, fast, and scalable data management for AI. As more companies use AI, they get worried about keeping their data safe, especially sensitive stuff like customer information or their own AI models. Data breaches and slow processing are big concerns. Many struggle to find data storage that is both fast and secure enough for large AI systems.

Q: And how does VectorX address this problem? What’s the solution?
A:
VectorX is our answer. It is a secure vector database designed specifically for AI security. VectorX encrypts everything – both the vector data and the metadata – using keys that the client controls. This means data is protected even when it’s being moved or processed. We’ve also developed a special algorithm that allows searches to happen on the encrypted data directly, without needing to decrypt it first. This keeps things fast, even with huge amounts of data. So, VectorX combines strong encryption with fast search capabilities, allowing businesses to use AI to its full potential without sacrificing security.

Q: Who are the founders of Launchx Labs and what’s their background?
A:
Our founding team includes Vineet Dwivedi, our CEO, Anuraag Dubey, the COO, Gaurav Nigam, our CBO, and Hemant Sharma, who is our Lead ML Engineer.

Q: What inspired you to start Launchx Labs? What was the ‘aha!’ moment?
A:
Vineet, our CEO, puts it well. He has worked in several startups and noticed that many of them make the same mistakes when building tech products. He and Anuraag realised they could help startups build products faster and avoid repeating those common mistakes. Initially, they focused on helping startups in general, but then they saw the potential of AI and GenAI for larger companies too. VectorX came about when they were working with corporate clients on GenAI projects. They realised security was a major concern because there wasn’t a good way to secure proprietary information used as vectors. That’s why they developed VectorX – to encrypt vectors and enable fast searches within the encrypted data. This technology has broad applications, not just in GenAI, but also in areas like facial recognition. It’s about securing valuable data for all sorts of organisations.

Q: What were the early days of Launchx Labs like? What was a key challenge in the beginning?
A:
Like any startup, building the team was the biggest hurdle early on. Fortunately, Vineet and Anuraag had built up a strong network from working in previous startups. They knew many developers, managers, designers, and so on. That network and help from friends was crucial in getting the initial team together.

Q: What makes VectorX different from other databases out there? What’s its unique selling point?
A:
VectorX is unique because it is the world’s most secure vector database, built specifically for AI. Unlike other solutions, VectorX prioritises both security and speed. It encrypts both vectors and metadata using client-side encryption, which no other database does. This eliminates data exposure during transfer. Our algorithm allows searches directly on encrypted data, which is a major advantage over traditional databases that need to decrypt data before searching. This means VectorX offers superior performance, even with complex AI workloads. While other databases may struggle to balance speed, security, and scalability, VectorX excels at all three. It’s about giving businesses the freedom to innovate in AI without security worries.

Q: Has Launchx Labs received any external funding? What’s the financial situation?
A:
No, we haven’t received external funding yet.

Q: What are Launchx Labs’ plans for the future? What’s next for the startup?
A:
We are focused on growing through partnerships, expanding our customer base, and networking more within the AI and tech communities. We want to build key partnerships in AI, cloud computing, and security to make VectorX even better and reach more people. We’re also aiming to attract more enterprise clients and AI startups by showing them what VectorX can do. We will be more visible at industry events and online to build relationships and position ourselves for continued growth.

Q: Any advice for people wanting to start their own business?
A:
Don’t just follow trends, set them. At Launchx Labs, we are always pushing boundaries, and that’s how we created VectorX. Innovation is not just about new ideas; it’s about changing the game to create real impact.
