A: I’m Vinayak Agarwal, founder and CEO of Inspire AI. Our platform is an AI ghostwriter that transforms professional expertise into impactful social media content. Essentially, we’re here to solve a common problem—helping professionals share their insights without needing hours for content creation. Our target audience includes everyone from C-suite executives and academics to consultants, industry experts, and small business owners. Q: Tell us about your journey and what inspired you to start Inspire AI.
A: It all started with frustration. I’d seen how tedious and repetitive content creation could be, even though it’s such a powerful tool for building personal brands. Despite having insights and understanding the importance of personal branding, many professionals struggle to consistently share valuable thoughts. There’s often a mix of reasons—lack of time, lack of writing skills, or simply not knowing how to start. AI seemed like it could help, but most tools were subpar. You’d end up with generic content that just didn’t resonate.
So, my co-founder Krishant and I set out to change that. Our goal was to build an AI that acts like a real ghostwriter, making content that genuinely sounds human. We’ve built Inspire AI to remove the tedious bits, allowing people to focus on their unique insights and perspectives. We believe this combination of AI and personal input leads to truly engaging content.
Q: What were the early days of Inspire AI like?
A: They were intense. Krishant and I were still students, so we juggled classes and Inspire AI’s development. For about three months, we worked over 12 hours a day, building the platform from scratch. We aimed to create something better and faster than what was already out there, and we were obsessed with getting it right. But once we had the product, the real challenges began.
Convincing people to use the platform was tough. We didn’t just need testers; we needed people to actually believe in our product. Building that credibility wasn’t easy. We went all out, sharing our journey and getting initial users to give us a chance.
Q: What hurdles did you face bringing Inspire AI to market?
A: Transitioning from a prototype to a product was harder than expected. We’re both engineers, but cloud tech and production workflows threw us into the deep end. Internal testing was a headache with bugs popping up constantly. Every fix brought new challenges, especially on the cost side. Our cloud expenses started piling up quickly, so we had to learn how to optimise, get credits, and find ways to run the platform efficiently. It was a crash course in problem-solving.

A: Most AI tools offer drafts that feel robotic and need heavy editing. With Inspire AI, we wanted to do more. A: We’re working on a fully conversational AI interface for content creation. The aim is to make the process feel even more natural. We also want to expand into image and video content, automating these formats so users can engage across platforms. Another key focus is bypassing AI detectors, so the content feels and appears truly human. This is especially important as AI detection tools get more sophisticated.
Q: Any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
A: Honestly, nothing can fully prepare you for building a startup. We thought we’d be ready with the guidance we’d received from experienced mentors. But reality hits differently. Murphy’s Law is real—if something can go wrong, it probably will. You need resilience and adaptability. You’ll feel the weight of every decision, especially when real people and real money are involved. That’s when all the advice finally starts to make sense.
